Kieran and Katie are 1988 graduates of the School of Foreign Service. Following graduation, Kieran obtained a law degree from NYU and Katie obtained her Masters in International Affairs from Columbia, both in 1992. We have been residents of the DC area ever since. After a brief stint in private practice, Kieran joined the Federal Reserve Board in 1995, where he practices for 16 years, joining PNC Bank in 2011. Following graduation from Columbia, Katie joined the Federal Reserve Board in the International section of the Banking Supervision & Regulation Division, where she worked until 2000. After the birth of our second child, Katie left the Fed and ultimately pursued her combined passions of horses and helping individuals with physical and mental disabilities or otherwise experiencing emotional distress (such as PTSD or the result of abuse, etc.). She now runs her own non-profit, Bridle Paths, that provides therapeutic riding and equine-assisted psychotherapy services to individuals and families.
They have two children, Aidan (SFS ’19) and Mairin.
