Phillip Fletcher is a 1979 graduate of the School of Foreign Service. He attended the Fletcher School of Law & Diplomacy and Bolt Hall Law School, UC Berkley. He has been with Milbank, Tweed, Hadley & McCoy law firm since 1983 and practices international project finance focusing on Africa and the Middle East. He has practiced in the firm’s London, Hong Kong, New York, Washington and Los Angeles offices. He serves on the advisory board of the International Financial Law Review and he is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations. Phillip speaks French.
Emily Fletcher is a 2016 graduate of the College. She majored in Psychology with minors in Linguistics and Education, Inquiry and Justice. During her time at Georgetown, Emily was a DC Reads coordinator, planned the CSJ Days of Service and taught in the Summer Institute of Teaching and Learning. She spent a summer teaching English in Romania with Learning Enterprises. Currently, Emily is an Inspired Teaching Fellow teaching 4th grade at the Inspired Teaching School in North-East Washington, DC. She is also working towards her Master’s of Education at Trinity Washington University.
Phillip and Emily live in Georgetown with wife and mother, Elena Fletcher who has been to so many Georgetown events she thinks she is a Hoya. In their free time, father and daughter duo Emily and Phillip enjoy watching Georgetown basketball, playing tennis, practicing yoga , and listening to the Beach Boys.
